NYC SCA Project: M641, City As School
Project Overview
MIM Group serves as Construction Manager for comprehensive renovations at City As School (M641), 16 Clarkson Street, Manhattan — delivered for the NYC School Construction Authority. General Contractor: Infinity Construction.
Exterior Restoration: Full masonry restoration and replacement of over 300 aluminum and steel windows across the entire school building envelope.
Flood Elimination: A complex support of excavation system was installed at the cellar level, including temporary steel bracing to support the existing structure and a dewatering system with more than 75 well points. Approximately 20,000 SF of 14-inch thick concrete slab on grade was installed to permanently address basement flooding.
Interior Upgrades: Auditorium renovation and mechanical room upgrades are included in the scope, improving both the educational and operational environment for the school community.
